Aamir never thought SRK was ‘King Khan’

The war of words between Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan shows no signs of ending. Just days after making peace with SRK on his birthday Aamir has again taken a dig at Shahrukh. On the question of him being referred to as the real ‘King Khan’ after his performance in Ghajini Aamir said he was never interested in kicking Shahrukh out of the pedestal and never believed Shahrukh was the ‘King Khan’.
Aamir said that the only actor who can be referred to as the king in the industry is Amitabh Bachchan. The perfectionist actor added that Big B had done some fantastic work throughout his career and neither he or anyone else could expect to see the kind of stardom that the senior Bachchan has seen. SRK to finalise the IPL anthem

Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders’ anthem ‘Karbo, Larbo, Jeetbo Re’ will become a remixed number during the forthcoming IPL season. Our source says that now SRK wants a modified version of the anthem for which music directors Vishal-Shekhar and Pritam are close contenders. Interestingly, SRK will choose whichever of the two versions he will prefer.While SRK has instructed Vishal-Shekar, who had composed the original anthem last year, to come up with a remixed version for this year’s IPL, he also approached his current favourite music director Pritam who gave music in his recent home production Billu for the same.Our source said, “Vishal-Shekar and Pritam are both working on the same anthem. Let’s see who comes up with a better composition.
The offer to both the music directors was made only recently.It may be recalled that last year, Vishal-Shekar were closely associated with SRK since they were working with him on Om Shanti Om even while composing the anthem for Kolkata Knight Riders. However lately, SRK and Pritam have also been working closely because of Billu.When contacted, Vishal asked, “Who told you this?” and he quickly went on to deny that SRK had approached them to modify ‘Karbo, Larbo, Jeetbo Re’. Vishal added, “I would love to do something like that and give some sort of a spin to the anthem.”
Shekar too denied that SRK had approached them for a remixed version but then he quickly added, “That would be really cool.Vishal said, “I haven’t heard that SRK has asked Pritam to do the remixed version. SRK is a professional and if such a thing happens, we will be told about it. But, if Pritam goes on to do it, we have no issues as long as the anthem rocks and the team is inspired by it.”Despite repeated attempts, Pritam remained unavailable for comment. We sent a text message to SRK but he didn’t reply.As for whose remixed version SRK will finally select, may the best man win.

SRK's shoulder surgery successful

Bollywood baadshah SRK was operated for a shoulder injury at Breach Candy Hospital and his surgery was successful. The King Khan will be discharged in another 48 hours, however he will not be able to work for almost 4-6 weeks.
SRK while filming the movie ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ last year suffered froma muscle tear in his left shoulder.
The one and a half hours long operation was carried out by shoulder specialist Dr Sanjay Desai by utilizing arthroscopic method

Excel Entertainment had put Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don 2 on the back burner because Amitabh Bachchan might soon be part of the sequel to his yesteryear classic Don, to be produced by Nadeem Irani and Nasir Irani, sons of the producer of 1975 Don. SRK's recent shoulder injury had made matters worse. But now everything is sorted out and Excel Entertainment is going ahead with Don 2.According to our source, Farhan Akhtar will direct the film starring all the four actors who were in Don - Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal and Boman Irani. On the other hand, the Iranis have made no headway as yet in their plans to make the sequel with Bachchan.

Shahrukh Khan Probably Will Have Shoulder Surgery

Shahrukh Khan is currently back home in Mumbai , India. Before leaving for Los Angeles to shooot for Karan Johar 's My Name Is Khan (MNIK) (2009) SRK was adviced by the doctor to immediately perform the shoulder surgery and not to delay it. The shoulder ligament were tore during shooting for Dulha Mil Gaya (2009) last December. SRK will now have to wait for the surgery since his home production Billo Barber (2009) will be releasing February 13, 2009.

Shah Rukh Khan Mogambo in Mr India 2

If the sourcee believe aka Bollywood Badhsah Shahrukh Khan Will play the legendary role of Mogambo in Mr India 2. Mr India 2 is the sequel to Mr India which was a big hit in 1987 with Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in the lead roles. The role of Mogambo had been played by Amrish Puri and the dialogue ‘Mogambo Khush Hua’ said by Amrish Puri had become legendary.
Shekhar Kapoor made the offer to Shah Rukh Khan and he is confident that Shah Rukh Khan will accept it, though SRK has yet to confirm it. Mr India 2 is being produced by Boney Kapoor and Manmohan Shetty.Also, Sridevi will be making her comeback in this film and will be once again seen with Anil Kapoor. Anil Kapoor and Sridevi will be playing the role of the older couple and there will be another younger couple in the film.
However, Mr India 2 will be more villain centric. So, director Shekhar Kapur selected Shah Rukh Khan for the role since he felt that none of the current villians in Bollywood have the intense personality to portray the role of Mogambo which Amrish Puri had enacted with such maniacal glee in Mr India. Also, Shah Rukh had played the role of the villian in Baazigar and Darr in the initial stages of his acting career which had been highly appreciated by the audiences.

The long wait for cinema audiences everywhere is now over with Zoya’s Luck By Chance (produced by Excel Entertainment and Reliance Big Pictures) hitting the screens on January 30. Interestingly, the Khans play themselves in the film, but regretfully don’t share screen space and appear at different times individually. SRK interacts with Farhan and Aamir with Konkona. Both superstars have excellent relationships with Farhan and Zoya and both wanted to support this film.Even though Aamir doesn’t do cameos, he readily agreed because he is familiar with the set-up having worked with producer Ritesh Sidhwani and director-actor Farhan in Dil Chahta Hai.
Also, Aamir who works on bound scripts only, had already read Luck By Chance’s script when Zoya took it to him for feedback some years ago. So that was also okay.“Initially, we were in a fix wondering how to talk to him, knowing his stance on cameos, till dad called me up to say he had spoken to Aamir,” explained the petite Zoya. Once dad Javed Akhtar succeeded with Aamir, SRK was easy to approach. “I personally spoke to Shah Rukh. But I won’t like to take the credit alone, because both actors did it out of friendship for Farhan and Ritesh. There is a lot of respect between all of us,” she added.
The film has Bollywood as its backdrop with Farhan playing a struggling actor opposite Koknona. “This is the first original story that gives you an insider’s journey of the film industry. A struggler’s experience,” said Ritesh. And here’s another little secret: Aamir shot for the film when he was in the midst of Ghajini and had the tonsured look; so, the consummate actor agreed to wear a wig for Zoya!

Sourav Ganguly to judge SRK’s dancing reality show

Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chilies Entertainment is presently producing a dance reality show titled, Knights & Angels to hunt for cheerleaders for his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. The show is slated to go on air on NDTV Imagine later in a few months time.
Our source reveals, “Ex-Indian cricket team captain and captain of SRK’s KKR, Saurabh Ganguly is going to be the main judge on the show. The winner of Knights & Angels will get a chance to be a part of the cheer leading team for Knight Riders. It is learnt that ace choreographer Shaimak Davar is slated to train the girls. Talks are also on with a top Bollywood starlet to host the show and the papers are expected to be signed soon. If one has been the latest promo unveiled by NDTV Imagine, promoting its new lineup, the King Khan can be seen talking about the new reality show. It is learnt that the show will be spread over six episodes and is expected to being on 7 March and culminate on 4 April.
Red Chilies Entertainment is also launching a soap called Ghar Ki Baat Hai on NDTV Imagine. It stars Sumit Raghvan and Ali Asgar amongst others
