Actor Ajmal Is In Love With Actress Meenakshi

Denying reports appeared in a section of the media that he is in love with Meenakshi, Ajmal says his relationship with his ‘TN 07 AL 4777’ co-star never crossed the limit.
“We acted together in ‘TN O7 AL 4777’. And we used to spend time together during the shoot of the movie. But never had we crossed the limit of friendship. I had not even seen her after the completion of 4777,” says the ‘Anjathey’ actor.
He adds: “I don’t know from where these rumours are originating from. Is there anything wrong if someone speaks or chats with their colleague? There is nothing between me and Meenakshi. My sole aim is to establish myself as a talented actor.”
Ajmal is eagerly expecting the release of ‘Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru’ and ‘Kadhirvel’. He says, “Both the films are different from each other. One is a romantic entertainer while the other is an out and out action thriller,” he says.

Actor Govinda has narrow escape

Bollywood star Govinda had a narrow escape Saturday when a bus hit him in this Sikh holy city, the actor said.
Govinda was jogging with his son on the road near M.K. International Hotel in Ranjit Avenue when a mini-bus hit him after its driver failed to spot him due to the fog. The driver was able to apply the brakes just in time as the vehicle was about to run over Govinda. He was hit by the bus but was not majorly injured.Govinda visited the city with his family to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple and is staying at the M.K. International Hotel."We had paid obeisance at the Golden Temple yesterday (Friday). Maybe God saved us because of that," Govinda told reporters here.

Pawan Kalyan marries Renu Desai

Tollywood superstar Pawan Kalyan, the younger brother of Chiranjeevi, married his long-time live-in partner Renu Desai at his house on Wednesday. A few family members, including Chiru and film personalities attended the function. Renu was a co-star of Pawan Kalyan in two films--'Badri' and 'Johnny'. The couple have a 5-year-old son, Akira Nandan. The decision to make their relationship legal was taken as rival political parties of Chiru's Praja Rajyam criticised their living togerther, it is believed. Pawan is the leader of the youth wing of PRP, Pawan got divorce from his first wife, Nandini, only in 2008. The out of court divorce settlement with Nandini cost Pawan Rs 5 crore, it is believed.

Ajay Devgan to play Haji Mastan, but says won't copy him

Mumbai, Ajay Devgan is determined not to copy Haji Mastan when he plays the smuggler-turned-film producer in Milan Luthria's "Once Upon A Time In Mumbai".
"The character will be inspired by Haji Mastan, but I won't be copying him. We'll take many cinematic liberties. When I played Mahesh Bhatt saab in 'Zakhm', I wasn't trying to walk and talk like him," Ajay told IANS.Haji Mastan forayed into Bollywood with "Mere Garib Nawaz" (1973) and was also a successful distributor. Known for his friendship with the legendary actor Dilip Kumar, Mastan took to politics later. He died in 1994.Amitabh Bachchan's character in the 1975 super hit film "Deewaar" was modelled on Haji Mastan and now it's Ajay's turn to bring him alive on screen once again.For his role, Ajay will be consulting all the material on the notorious smuggler and also plans to meet up with the Big B to learn how the senior actor approached the complex part.From playing Bhagat Singh to now Haji Mastan is a long journey for Ajay. "But playing Haji Mastan is very different from playing Bhagat Singh," he quipped."Once Upon A Time In Mumbai" will also focus on an aspect of Mastan's life that "Deewaar" didn't touch on - the smuggler's liaison with starlet Sona, who apparently bore a close resemblance to the legendary Madhubala.In fact, Sona was given a pivotal role in Raj Khosla's "Kachche Dhaage" (1973) apparently on Haji Mastan's insistence.But the problem is who will play Sona in the Ajay-starrer?But the actor is nonchalant. "I've never bothered with whom I'm paired with. I only focus on my character," said Ajay.He is very happy with the year gone by."I directed a film I'm proud of. People keep asking me when I'll direct another film. In 2008, I also had 'Golmaal Returns', which was among the biggest hits of the year."I want to do sensible cinema in 2009, but I also want my 'Golmaal'. Sensible cinema is limited in its appeal. Shahrukh Khan Probably Will Have Shoulder Surgery

Shahrukh Khan is currently back home in Mumbai , India. Before leaving for Los Angeles to shooot for Karan Johar 's My Name Is Khan (MNIK) (2009) SRK was adviced by the doctor to immediately perform the shoulder surgery and not to delay it. The shoulder ligament were tore during shooting for Dulha Mil Gaya (2009) last December. SRK will now have to wait for the surgery since his home production Billo Barber (2009) will be releasing February 13, 2009.

Vijay`s golden film with Raja

It is Jeyam Raja who is the going to direct the 50th movie of Ilayathalapathi Vijay. This comes as a surprise since leading directors like Siddique (Friends) and Dharani (Ghilli, Kuruvi) were considered front runners for directing Vijay’s golden jubilee movie.
Jayam Raja has given movies including Jeyam, M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi and Santhosh Subramaniyam and successfully proved his talents. Vijay’s 50th movie will be produced by Jeyam Raja’s home banner and is expected to release by 2010. It remains to be seen whether he will go for an original subject or for a remake, as the director is known as the ‘King’ of remakes as he understands how to add local flavour and nativity to the original subject.
Meanwhile Vijay will be starting with his next movie Vettaikaran soon.

Shankar and Rajinikanth are going all out to cut costs for Endhiran (The Robot), by shooting in parts of Tamil Nadu, the streets of Chennai and studio settings. After shooting at a private engineering college in Vellore, the unit moved further south to Kelavakkam near Tirupur. Here, scenes were shot at a private educational institute, with Aishwarya Rai as a college student and Rajinikanth as a scientist. The same institute was used by Shankar for shooting the climax lead for his Sivaji. Meanwhile, the team will now shift to a Chennai studio for a dream song of the student who gets smitten by the scientist! Art director Sabu Cyril is making a huge set to shoot the song, which is a duet. To shoot two of his earlier songs , director Shankar had gone to Peru, Los Angeles, parts of the US and the sunny beaches of Goa. Knowing Shankar’s penchant for grandeur, one can expect this song to be shot on a lavish scale. The movie has music by AR Rahman, and for the first time, rapper Yogi B (who shot to fame through the Polladhavan remix and the Kuruvi song) will be singing for the Superstar.

Sourav Ganguly to judge SRK’s dancing reality show

Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chilies Entertainment is presently producing a dance reality show titled, Knights & Angels to hunt for cheerleaders for his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. The show is slated to go on air on NDTV Imagine later in a few months time.
Our source reveals, “Ex-Indian cricket team captain and captain of SRK’s KKR, Saurabh Ganguly is going to be the main judge on the show. The winner of Knights & Angels will get a chance to be a part of the cheer leading team for Knight Riders. It is learnt that ace choreographer Shaimak Davar is slated to train the girls. Talks are also on with a top Bollywood starlet to host the show and the papers are expected to be signed soon. If one has been the latest promo unveiled by NDTV Imagine, promoting its new lineup, the King Khan can be seen talking about the new reality show. It is learnt that the show will be spread over six episodes and is expected to being on 7 March and culminate on 4 April.

Deepika-Ranbir’s affair goes kaput

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's introductory comic fight scene in Villu has been leaked on the net.
A free video site has the nearly 10-minute fight scene picturised in a 'dhobi ghat' and an inside an ice factory.
The scene has Vijay with florescent coloured saris all over him, jumping from height, flying in the air and pouncing on the villains.
Ladies who are watching him jump, say “Is it Spiderman or Superman? From this scene, the focus shifts inside an ice factory where our hero single-handedly handles half a dozen thugs.
The scene looked partially edited with only Vijay's and Nayanthara appearing towards the end, voice to be dubbed. Ayngaran International the producers of the film will be taking legal action against the culprits who have leaked it on the net.

'Guru En Aalu' from Christmas

Will this December be a special one for Madhavan? The actor, who has not had a release for some time, is eagerly awaiting the release of 'Guru En Aalu' later this month.
The movie, a remake of the Bollywood hit 'Yes Boss' was supposed to hit the screens during Deepavali. However it backed out at the last moment. Now producer KRG has confirmed that 'Guru En Aalu' will have a Christmas release.
A comical entertainer, the movie features Mamta Mohandas, Vivek and Abbas in the lead roles besides Madhavan. 'Comedy films are a rarity here and hopefully 'Guru En Aalu' will rock. We waited for the right moment to release the film', says the producer.

More than a month ago, we had broken the news that Akshay Kumar is lending his voice for an animation film, JUMBO, produced by the Percept Picture Company, for a sum of nine crores. We had further informed that Akshay Kumar will also participate in the picturisation of two promotional videos. Well, the good news is that one of the two promotional songs has been aired on all leading music channels on Sunday and is simply awesome. Featuring our very own 'Khiladi' Kumar the composition is by Ram Sampat. After a superb effort in KHAKEE this will be Ram Sampat's next film with Akshay Kumar. Sampat lately has been more in the news for his infamous fight with music director Rakesh Roshan over the alleged plagiarism of the KRAZZY 4 title track. The promotional music video is quite in sync with times. The song is superb as the lyrics convey a message that is just befitting the situation of our country. It urges the nation to stand united against all odds and have faith. The song goes like this– Sending a message to my people, Jab Tak Dil Mein Hai Faith, This World Is A Lovely Place, Dil Mein Rakhna Tu Fight, Everything Is Gonna B Alright, Jab Tak Hum Side By Side, Everything Is Gonna B Alright. A lovely message indeed! One must commend the makers for choosing the most appropriate number during the present scenario in our country post the dastardly terror attack on Mumbai. Surya buys Audi Q7

Surya, to celebrate the success of his Vaaranam Aayiram, purchased an Ice Silver colored spanking new Audi Q7, before he left on his US vacation.
The Audi Q7 is a full-size luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) produced by German automaker Audi and was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January 2006.
The Q7 is a luxurious SUV that leaves its rivals far behind and equipped with highly enhanced features and state of the art technology. The Q7 costs approximately Rs 70 lakhs on Indian roads.
The buzz is that Surya has purchased the Audi Q7 on the recommendation of Gautham Menon, who was one of the first person to drive around in a black Audi- A4 car. Surya's Q7 has been picked from the Bangalore showroom of Audi, as it has a Karnataka registration.
Meanwhile Surya's lucky heroine (Ghajani and Vel) Asin had informed us that she too has picked a brand new Phantom Black Audi Q7, which her dad brought her on her birthday in Mumbai.
