Trisha 'n Nayantara: The 'Booze' Queens

Trisha and Nayantara are the new sensational 'booze queens', if they maybe addressed so! They truly deserve this rare accolade, for their outlandish achievements over the past couple of days. Not much time has elapsed since we heard the shocking news that our coy and beautiful South Indian heroines have their say when it comes to savouring the liquor of their choice. They who, epitomize the ideal heroines on screen rocked our innocent dreams. Many were forced to wake up from their sweet dreams and even chide themselves for having worshipped them as their ideals and idols. If our dreams were shattered then how do we reckon with the thought that our dainty damsels wrecked havoc, fighting between themselves outdoing cats and dogs.

Trisha is infamous for her inability to keep check of the pegs she gulps in. Well that is solely her personal affair, even if she be our chosen star. Privacy is to be respected. But how do we digest with the fact that the lady in question, our Trisha was slapped in public. It so happened that during one of her night outs to a club, she was completely overpowered by the vodka shots she gulped in a go. The demon in her woke up and she hurled a torrent of abuses sparing neither the staff nor the guests. Even many big shots from the Tamil and Telugu film fraternity were hardly spared. However the real drama ensued when she accidently overstepped a woman and received a sound slap as the return gift. The woman happened to be the wife of a senior police officer and she knew her duty well! The slap still resounds in Trisha's ears, but who cares!
There are some who have a deaf ear and must say Trisha is definitely one of them. She would not just learn from her experiences. Why should she, when success has put her right on the pinnacle. Intoxicating success has drowned many in the past. But how do we justify for those sensible enough to realize their mistakes, but unwilling to rectify them?

Vishal, the unlucky hero of Sathyam was the scapegoat, when during a night party, our sensuously dressed Trisha blew away all notions of what is socially acceptable. Under the influence of the spirits and spirited as she was, Vishal was doomed to be at the receiving end. Vishal who had plans to cast Shreya in his next venture was threatened and abused by Trisha and had to give in. However the actor has not made any official announcements till date. With the entry of none other than Nayantara, the hero was caught between the devil and deep sea. What ensued then was a deadly battle of words, discarding decency whatsoever.

Love never dies and first love will remain forever. No wonder that Nayantara who caught a glimpse of Simbu on TV mounted up the table and planted many hot kisses on the insensate idiot box. Hope Simbu received the kisses and has made plans to get back to his lady love, who is out to ruin her life. Soon the battlefield cleared and Vishal the Gentleman had to drag the ladies into his car.

It is time our movie makers decided to switch roles and give women their due. Who knows they may be far better performers than their male counterparts when it comes to essaying drunkard roles. Truly Trisha would have no contenders. All you heroes watch out...

Ayesha Takia postpones marriage in the wake of attacks

In the wake of the 26/11 terrorist attacks, Ayesha Takia's wedding to restaurateur Farhan Azmi has been called off.The shaadi was to take place on December 25. It now has been postponed to mid-2009. But a date has not been finalised as yet.

Ayesha is currently in Greece shooting a song for Boney Kapoor's Wanted. The groom-to-be confirms, "When Ayesha heard the news of the attacks, she broke down. Dad (SP party leader Abu Azmi), was in a hospital recuperating from an operation; he too started crying when he heard about the terrorist attacks. None of us are in the mood for any celebrations this year. Our mood is too grim and somber. There can be no wedding celebrations as of now maybe mid-2009 and that too it will be a small and private affair."Farhan adds, "We are all shaken up by what happened. I saw it happening next door, as Nariman House is seven buildings away from our home and very close to the Taj and Oberoi hotels. When the Oberoi was sealed, many guests came from there to Koyla and Cafe Basilico (both owned by Farhan). None wanted to stay, so I took them home. On the first night from Koyla, which is 500m away from the Taj, we could see the fire burning on the sixth floor and hear women and children screaming to be let out 'please help us'รข€¦ It still gives me goose bumps to even think about it."

Ayesha, meanwhile, is busy completing her last three projects Ahmed Khan's Pathshaala, Nagesh Kukunoor's Tasveer and Boney Kapoor's Wanted Dead or Alive. She had earlier informed her producers that she won't shoot in December, as she was planning to quit acting after tying the knot.

Akshay says to India: Everything's gonna B alright!

view JUMBO movie poster
More than a month ago, we had broken the news that Akshay Kumar is lending his voice for an animation film, JUMBO, produced by the Percept Picture Company, for a sum of nine crores. We had further informed that Akshay Kumar will also participate in the picturisation of two promotional videos. Well, the good news is that one of the two promotional songs has been aired on all leading music channels on Sunday and is simply awesome. Featuring our very own 'Khiladi' Kumar the composition is by Ram Sampat. After a superb effort in KHAKEE this will be Ram Sampat's next film with Akshay Kumar. Sampat lately has been more in the news for his infamous fight with music director Rakesh Roshan over the alleged plagiarism of the KRAZZY 4 title track. The promotional music video is quite in sync with times. The song is superb as the lyrics convey a message that is just befitting the situation of our country. It urges the nation to stand united against all odds and have faith. The song goes like this– Sending a message to my people, Jab Tak Dil Mein Hai Faith, This World Is A Lovely Place, Dil Mein Rakhna Tu Fight, Everything Is Gonna B Alright, Jab Tak Hum Side By Side, Everything Is Gonna B Alright. A lovely message indeed! One must commend the makers for choosing the most appropriate number during the present scenario in our country post the dastardly terror attack on Mumbai. And we are sure that everyone will welcome it with open arms. While on JUMBO, the release date has now been shifted to Christmas and it appears that Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar ( this time as just a voice!) will slug it out once again after the WELCOME and TAARE ZAMEEN PAR clash last Christmas.

Kangana Ranaut did a photoshoot for the “Stuck on you” promo line of Levis Jeans advertisement. Kangana in a bikini top is stuck to a shirtless model atop some objects at a
construction site. Kangana with her pleasant smile heats up the new Levis advertisement.

Kangana has never said no to exposing herself, but that too has a limit bacause her exposure never looks vulgar. And this time she has done same for Levis where Kangana seems to be spiced up. Kangana last movie was Fashion where she acted as a model/showstopper, which was appreciated by the audiences. She gave an excellent energetic permormance in the movie.
