Murugadoss to do a film with Aamir again

After the box office success of his debut Hindi film Ghajini, A R Murugadoss has become a celebrity in Bollywood.
After the release of Ghajini, most of the Hindi superstars have been requesting Murugadoss to do a film for them. But the director is now preparing a script to make it in Hindi.
According to Murugadoss, he will not return to Tamil immediately. His next project will also be with Aamir Khan and after the completion of this project he will return to Tamil. "I have two scripts and want to work with Aamir again. I'm his biggest fan," said Murugadass,
Regarding the remake of Ghajini, the director commented: 'Aamir is truly a perfectionist as he is known in Bollywood. He's brilliant and brings a different level of energy on to the sets. There's nobody like him."
Actually Murugadoss made changes in the film to suit the Hindi audience and of course, the censor board asked them to cut down certain violent scenes in the film.
"Scenes which were very gory were cut and we made changes in the climax since I wasn't happy with it. The characterization of the songs was also changed and certain fight sequences were removed. I actually got to improve my own mistakes by remaking my film," said the director.

Sameera plays rustic woman in Kukunoor's Yeh Hausla

Glamorous Sameera Reddy says she connected with the late Smita Patil's spirit while playing a rustic Dalit woman in Nagesh Kukunoor's Yeh Hausla, walking bare feet in the mud in ghagra-choli with peacocks accompanying her. The actress says she finds the comparison with Smita "uncanny".
"I never knew I could do these things. And this Smita Patil comparison is getting uncanny. It was Buddhadeb Dasgputa who first compared me with her," said Sameera. But Sameera, who has featured in films like Musafir and Taxi No. 911, is satisfied with the experience.
"I feel I'm now born as an actor. When people see me in Yeh Hausla, I hope they see me and not just Smita Patil.
"While doing Yeh Hausla, I felt I was connecting with Smita's spirit. Maybe it was the pure, unspoilt ambience and that whole spirit of Chakra and Manthan that Smita is associated with."
She says her director was a great help. "Nagesh has taught me so much. I've connected with emotions within myself that I never knew existed. I felt I've gone to acting school. Other actors came and went. But I was there for the full 47-day schedule. I'm in every frame of the film," said Sameera.
She has shot on the outskirts of Jodhpur in Rajasthan with peacocks for 46 days for the film. "Where I shot with Nagesh was a different world completely without trappings of urban life. I felt I had gone back to basics. I was in a ghagra-choli walking bare feet in the mud and these peacocks would accompany me everywhere. I've never been so close to nature before. And the thought of flying off to Bangkok for my next film gives me strange feeling of cultural dislocation." Sameera is going to Singapore to do a new Priyadarshan comedy.
The Kukunoor film came Sameera's way almost by default. Kukunoor had heard Dasgupta comparing Sameera to Smita Patil after working with her in two films - Kaalpurush and Ami, Yasin Ar Amar Madhubala.
When he offered her the role, John Abraham told Sameera to grab it with both hands. "He (John) also told me to do it at one stretch. I realised, it was the only way to play this character. I didn't return to Mumbai even for a day."
When the release of Kukunoor's Aashayein featuring John got delayed, the director didn't waste time. Off he went to Jodhpur for a start-to-finish one stretch shooting of Yeh Hausla.

Shilpa Shetty gets 15 stitches in leg

Shilpa Shetty has started her new blog ‘Shilpa Channel’ and it was through this blog that her admirers came to know that the sexy long legs that have kept them mesmerized so long had been hurt lately.
Blaming it all to a freak accident, Shilpa said in her blog, “The whole of last week just flew experiencing this near war situation in Mumbai, the place I was born in and unconditionally love. In all this chaos, I completely forgot that I hurt my foot bad enough to get 15 stitches, in a freak accident, thanks to my big sunglasses and nose in the air; I overlooked a sharp metal piece that slit my foot, thankfully not below but over the foot!”
However Shilpa does not forget to assure that the mishap will not prevent her from shooting for her new film ‘Desire’ (an Indo-Chinese project), starring her first foreign actor Xia Yu from China.

Asin: Head among the stars?

After the stupendous opening that 'Ghajini' has witnessed (raking in over 100 crores in a week), the film's female lead Asin is in the news for all the wrong reasons.
According to a leading national daily, the actress has been throwing 'starry tantrums' on the sets of 'London Dreams' in which she co-stars with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. The film's shooting is currently on and according to the daily, the make-up artists and designers of the films are feeling the heat of Asin's chin-up attitude so much so that Manzoor Khan (make-up artist and hairstylist) walked out of the film.
It is reported that Manzoor Khan was getting bad vibes from Asin and could not handle the actress's high-handed behavior. Manzoor had reportedly stated that Asin was from the South Indian film industry but behaved as though she had come from Hollywood.
The paper also reported that not all are against Asin's attitude. The producer of 'London Dreams' Vipul Shah has sided with Asin and stated that Manzoor Khan was asked to leave because his work was not appropriate for the film.
Many film enthusiasts in South India are of the opinion that Asin might not return to South Indian films as she has tasted phenomenal success in Bollywood. Only time will tell what Asin's plans for the future are….
